If you reside in a state with high LLC costs, the IRA LLC may be a daunting consideration. Consider the State of California charges each and every LLC $800 in an annual tax!
A killer requirement? No, but many people would rather not have to register their LLC with their state of residency. The IRA Trust is not a matter of public record!
Also, unlike an LLC in many states, the IRA Trust has no annual reporting or filing requirements!
What if you want to purchase real estate in another state? You may have to file and pay for another LLC in that state? More expense and time.
In contrast, the IRA Trust can conduct business activities in almost any other state. No registration or on-going filing requirements are necessary.
